Katy Cullen (Head of Trade Marks)

Head of Trade Marks and Designs and Registered Trademark Attorney

Katy is dual qualified – being both a registered trade mark attorney having passed the ITMA exams before becoming a solicitor. She has substantial experience of working both in industry and private practice.

Prior to joining Walker Morris in 2002, Katy worked for a number of years with Unilever, where she gained experience in the protection and management of worldwide trade mark portfolios including the ELIZABETH ARDEN brand. As a result of her work with Unilever and elsewhere, she has substantial experience of working closely with in-house legal, marketing and design departments with the purpose of clearing and policing brands on a worldwide basis.

Katy deals with all aspects of trade mark and design management including prosecuting applications and lodging and defending trade mark oppositions.

Katy graduated with a BSc in Law and Chemistry and obtained her Masters in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College, London. Katy is a committee member of the International Trade Mark Association Alternative Dispute Resolution committee and is also a member of the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group.
