Recognised as one of the leading corporate lawyers in the region, Ian has over 25 years expertise of the private equity industry having started his career with 3i before joining Walker Morris. Ian advises clients from major corporates through to university spin outs on the full range of corporate finance legal issues. In Chambers Legal Directory for 2010 Ian is described as being “one of the driving forces behind the practice " . Ian is the firm's Managing Partner.

• Dansk Supermarked A/S on the £778 million sale of its subsidiary Netto Foodstores Limited to Asda.
• CSE-Global (UK) Limited on the acquisition of Systems Integration and Automation Limited
• Firechill on securing additional funding for expansion of business
• management on the £52.2 million acquisition of CeDo Group from Delton AG
• Syntopix Group plc on its proposed share placing to raise approximately £2 million
• Liquidlogic on its £14.2 million acquisition by System C Healthcare
• Avacta on a series of three acquisitions: YorkTest Veterinary Services, Curidium Medica, Theragenetics Limited
• on fund raising on AIM for university spin outs such as Avacta Group plc, Syntopix plc and Getech Group plc.
