Clark

Simon is our General Counsel and is responsible for the Firm’s regulatory compliance and risk more generally, as well as having oversight of professional conduct, anti-money laundering, information security, GDPR, anti-bribery and business continuity.

Simon handles any claims made against the firm and deals with the negotiation and agreement of our supplier arrangements.

He is the firm’s first General Counsel and works to actively manage risk and compliance to support the firm’s ambitious strategy and goals. In 2022, Simon was appointed to the Board.

After training and qualifying at a City firm, Simon moved to Walker Morris in 1998 and became a Partner in 2002.  Before becoming General Counsel, he specialised in insolvency and restructuring work.

My role as General Counsel is to let our talented people concentrate on what they are best at, delivering a quality service for our clients, whist ensuring they and the Firm comply with their various compliance obligations. Throughout my career I have solved problems for clients and now I do that for my colleagues which is very satisfying”.
