User-friendly, commercial advice on all areas of competition law

Sarah is a partner in our Competition team. Ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers, Sarah’s practice includes both domestic and multi-jurisdictional matters, with a focus on the financial services, retail, consumer goods and real estate sectors. She also has extensive in-house experience, having spent time on secondment to De Beers, Unilever, Tesco and Royal Mail.

Sarah provides user-friendly, commercial advice on all areas of competition law and foreign direct investment rules. Sarah says, “one reason I so enjoy being a competition lawyer is because it involves really getting to know a client’s business, the markets in which it operates and how it seeks to distinguish itself from its competitors”

Real-world context

Talking about her approach to client work, Sarah is quick to explain that she gets an enormous amount of satisfaction from doing a good job for a client and tries to be “user-friendly” at all times, so that her clients can get the full benefit of her considerable understanding of competition law and her breadth of experience.

Explaining how complex legal and economic concepts apply in a real-world context is something Sarah has plenty of experience with and she knows that “there’s no point just reciting the law to a client. I try to really understand their goals and reflect these in the advice I give”.
