Sakura is a Senior Associate in our Intellectual Property, Trade Marks & Design Team and is known for her work protecting the IP assets of local, national and international clients and their brands. Clients include football clubs in the Premier League, energy companies, food and confectionary companies, as well as individuals, entrepreneurs, retailers and clothes designers.

Seeing the logos and trade marks Sakura has worked to protect on TV or the high street is a hugely rewarding part of the job and Sakura is motivated by meeting new brands who need her help to protect, enforce or defend their IP assets.

Often acting for clients who are facing time or PR sensitive launches, mergers or acquisitions, Sakura describes her working style as “collaborative”. Sakura works with other teams in the firm, as well as enjoying working in such a close-knit IP team, but she also understands the importance of client relationships and commercial sensitivities; she gets to know both her clients and their sectors in great detail so as to make the best recommendations for her client’s time frames and budgets and to manage expectations.

Sakura is a member of the Walker Morris FUND industry group, building relationships with clients in the Fund Group, including PE houses, investors, alternative lenders, banks and other financial institutions and organisations.
