Ashley is a Senior Associate in our Finance Dispute Resolution team and provides his clients with tailored, practical legal advice to help them get on with their business and achieve their objectives. He understands that litigation can be time consuming and expensive for clients and sees his role as helping to reduce or remove this burden.

Ashley’s work is typically within banking and financial services and he works across the retail mortgage and commercial lending space. He advises on both inward and outward claims, including: allegations of misrepresentation; unfair relationship claims; challenges to lender security; the application of the money laundering regulations; enforcement of security including possession claims, guarantee claims, and money claims; professional negligence claims; and fraud including APP fraud and the recovery of fraudulently obtained monies.

“Helping a client solve a problem or find a path to a solution is incredibly rewarding. I get a real sense of satisfaction when I know we have advised a client correctly and that our help has led to a positive outcome at a hearing or trial”.

Describing his approach to work as “flexible and driven”, Ashley tries to make his advice as easy to understand as possible and he always like to present a practical solution. A natural ‘people person’, Ashley’s guiding principle is to be empathetic towards everyone he works with and he is always open minded.

“I like to get on with things, I don’t like to dither or delay. My style of advice matches my working style; I write in plain English and avoid legal jargon whenever I can.  But most of all, I like to get to know my clients and their businesses so that I can seek solutions that really work for them”.
