Advising rights-holders and sports teams in respect of any sponsorship matters, including the big-ticket items: naming of stadia, stands and training complexes; front of shirt and sleeve sponsors; ‘official supplier’ arrangements; and key brand associations with clubs, events and athletes.
We blend our commercial nous with our knowledge of the regulatory framework for sports, such as alcohol, gambling, tobacco and vaping.
Our experience in this arena enables us to identify potentially untapped rights to maximise sponsorship benefit for both parties.
We ensure our client’s interests are protected should a dispute occur, from a sponsor’s late payment of sponsorship monies to the client’s inability to provide granted rights to the sponsor.
We will try to avoid litigation where possible but our Sports Litigation team can are on hand to litigate where it becomes necessary.
