Chris is a Director in our Regulatory Team. He has over 25 years’ experience working in both the private and public sector. He has a track record of helping clients navigate complex legal challenges in areas of highly regulated economic activity.
Chris is known for being a fast and accurate worker who always sees the bigger picture. He views law and regulation as an enabler, putting them to use in helping clients achieve important business and operational outcomes. Chris is always careful to ensure that legal considerations are placed in a proper context. Businesses face many challenges, whether commercial, technical or reputational and it’s really important to Chris that his legal advice recognises these other challenges and gives them the weight that they deserve when key business decisions have to be made by clients.
Chris specialises in food law, and led the Food Standards Agency’s Legal Team through Brexit, the Pandemic and supply chain challenges associated with the Ukraine conflict.
Chris’ typical clients are Directors, Senior Managers, and specialists, particularly food scientists, who demand quick, accessible and precise advice. His work often has national reach and covers all four nations of the UK.
Chris loves the interface between law and science and the challenge of helping his clients turn ideas into reality.
