AML Administrator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Administrator.

As an AML Administrator you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our adherence to AML regulations and safeguarding our operations against financial crime. Your responsibilities will include monitoring client transactions, conducting thorough investigations, and maintaining comprehensive records.

We offer hybrid working at Walker Morris, so you’ll be able to split your time between home and the office, with 3 days in the office per week.

As an AML Administrator, you will be responsible for:

  • Administering the AML workflow within the case management system, processing new client file opening requests, and re-verifying existing clients.
  • Providing guidance and advice to the business on money laundering queries, ensuring appropriate checks are conducted.
  • Conducting identity verification and screening checks on clients, beneficial owners/related parties, and counterparties.
  • Regularly reviewing sanctions, PEP, and watch-list matches and escalating as appropriate.
  • Supporting the ongoing monitoring of clients and matters, including periodic reviews and reporting any concerns/suspicious activity to the AML Manager.
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders on potential AML issues, addressing technical and general queries.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience within a similar Business Administration or Risk & Compliance role dealing with B2B checks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legislation and guidance.
  • Good academic ability to interpret rules and regulations, coupled with a practical common-sense approach.
  • A team player with highly developed influencing skills and resilience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
