The Lawyer magazine recognises Daniel O’Gorman as one of the UK’s ‘Hot 100’ lawyers

Walker Morris corporate lawyer recognised as one of the UK’s top lawyers in The Lawyer’s annual report

Walker Morris is delighted to announce that corporate partner Daniel O’Gorman has been recognised in The Lawyer magazine’s 2018 Hot 100, an annual publication which recognises the standout lawyers in the UK.

The Lawyer’s Hot 100 recognises the most daring, creative and innovative lawyers across the country and is the culmination of months of research by The Lawyer’s editorial team into client work and contribution to firms and the profession.

Daniel is named in the section of the Hot 100 for the top UK dealmakers and is recognised for having “taken a leading role on some landmark matters” and having simultaneously “made a significant contribution to the Yorkshire firm’s ambition of extending its corporate practice internationally”.

Daniel enjoys a national reputation as a leading lawyer for cross-border M&A transactions and equity capital markets transactions.  Since joining Walker Morris in 2015, Daniel’s practice has been exceptionally active and he has advised on over 40 transactions, including advising the Data Intensity group on its acquisitions of the Oracle enterprise solutions businesses of Enrich, Inatech and Red Stack Tech and on the UK aspects of the sale of the group to EQT; and advising shareholders of Dee Valley Group Plc in relation to the company’s £84m takeover by Severn Trent Plc by scheme of arrangement.

Daniel is a member of Walker Morris’ international board with responsibility for the firm’s relationships with independent law firms in North America and Europe and, as recognised in the Hot 100 report, as client partner for a number of the firm’s key clients based outside of the UK.
