Walker Morris’ Corporate Team scooped the coveted ‘Corporate Law Firm of the Year’ Award at this year’s Yorkshire Insider Dealmakers Awards.
The Awards celebrate the region’s dealmakers who are at the top of their game and recognises the team as the leading corporate and M&A team based on activity during 2018.
The Team has acted on some of the region’s biggest deals including the £74.5m acquisition of Menzies Distribution by Endless, the IPO of TheWorks.co.uk plc, Renew’s £80 million acquisition of QTS Group and PepsiCo’s acquisition of Piper’s Crisps to name a few.
Commenting on the award Corporate Partner Debbie Jackson, who was also shortlisted for Dealmaker of the Year, said:

In the last 12 months the Corporate and M&A Team, which is ranked in Tier 1 by both Chambers and Legal 500, has advised on over 80 completed corporate deals with a deal value worth well over £1.4bn and was recognised in the latest Bloomberg rankings as one of the top 20 most active corporate legal advisers in the UK*. Earlier this year Daniel O’Gorman was listed in “The Lawyer” Magazine’s ‘Hot 100’ recognising him as one of the top 100 UK lawyers across all disciplines.
The award were presented at a Ceremony at New Dock Hall in front of an audience of over 600.
