Walker Morris employees have spread some festive cheer having donated £1145.00 as part of their 17th annual Christmas Toy Appeal – more than double their target.
Each year Walker Morris employees volunteer to buy toys to donate to a nominated charity. This year was a little different as Covid-19 meant that employees are working from home. Instead the firm teamed up with Pulse 1 – Cash for Kids, Mission Christmas to enable employees to donate money straight to the charity.
Mission Christmas will buy toys for families in the region who are facing poverty, to help ensure that children receive a gift from Santa on Christmas Day
Louise Power, Partner at Walker Morris and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility said:
“Supporting families who are struggling at Christmas will be more important than ever this year. The pandemic will unfortunately mean that many more families are facing very difficult situations this winter and may be unable to afford Christmas. It’s something that has undoubtedly resonated with all our employees and we’re delighted to make this contribution to the Pulse 1 Mission Christmas appeal – doubling our original target.”
