The new duty to prevent sexual harassment came into force on 26 October 2024. We discussed the duty and what might constitute reasonable steps in a previous publication.

This training package includes:

  • General training for all staff: a 25 minute training video which includes: an explanation of why this training is taking place in light of the new duty; the legal definition of sexual harassment (with examples of behaviour); case law examples; what victimisation is in relation to sexual harassment and how it can result in fear of speaking out; and what individual employees can do to help, including how to report it. A follow up ‘test your knowledge’ check at the end of the video.
  • Training on risk assessments and potential steps to be taken: a 10 minute separate video for HR/Legal/business leaders about the new duty to prevent sexual harassment, conducting risk assessments and what might constitute ‘reasonable steps’.
