In the article, Ben discusses the implications of the temporary pause on the issuance of new permits for waste incineration facilities.
Ben also shared concerns about the potential impact of the pause on the energy-from-waste (EfW) sector, particularly in relation to the government’s net-zero commitments. He stated, “The announcement appears to be at odds with the government’s recent support for the role of EfW facilities in achieving net-zero commitments.”
