Leading law firm, Walker Morris, has appointed Sakura Proctor as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to its specialist Intellectual Property Team.
Sakura joins the Team from an international law firm where she practiced as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney. Prior to this she qualified at a national firm of trade mark and patent attorneys. Before qualifying as a trade mark attorney, Sakura qualified as a solicitor, specialising in intellectual property law at a boutique intellectual property firm.
Sakura works on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious trade mark matters including international trade mark portfolio management, international filing and renewal programmes for clients, in addition to advising on trade mark opposition and cancellation matters. Sakura has experience in intellectual property litigation, particularly in relation to trade mark infringement and passing off actions and she also advises clients in relation to copyright and design issues and domain name disputes. Sakura is also a member of CITMA.
