Solina Group acquires specialty culinary sauce business New Ivory

Walker Morris has advised Rob Whitehead, the owner of the culinary sauce business New Ivory on its sale to the Solina Group, a major supplier in the global food market.

New Ivory is a leading producer of innovative culinary sauces in the UK for the meat, fish and poultry industries. New Ivory has longstanding relationships with both retail and industry customers based on a deep knowledge and understanding of global taste and food concepts.

After the completion of the sale, Adam Jones, Managing Director and the New Ivory Management Team will stay within the company.

Richard Naish and Rebecca Austin-Heath both in the Corporate Team at Walker Morris provided legal support to Rob Whitehead.

Rob Whitehead, owner of New Ivory commented:

Whilst I’m sad it’s the end of an era for me, I think it’s the right thing for New Ivory and the team. In addition to the culinary expertise and customer focus as the heart of new Ivory’s values proposition, Solina brings a global reach and scale now needed to complete in a truly world class market like chilled food. Solina’s plans in the UK are very exciting and I think our customers will welcome the ongoing choice that the introduction of Solina will bring.”

Richard Naish, Head of the Food & Drink Group at Walker Morris added:

We are pleased to have been able to help Rob and the team realise the sale of New Ivory. The deal reinforces Walker Morris’ reputation in the food and drink sector, with a multidisciplinary team that is able to draw from a wide range of expertise and knowledge from across the firm.”
