Walker Morris will help AIMS’ members deal with complex food law queries and challenges, including those relating to primary production, animal welfare, safety, hygiene and labelling.

Walker Morris will also be offering AIMS’ members support with a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including employment law and the ever-growing complexities around immigration.

Tony Goodger, Head of Communications at AIMS said:

“AIMS’ main contact at Walker Morris will be Chris McGarvey, who is part of the firm’s Food and Drink team. Chris specialises in food law, and led the Food Standards Agency’s legal team through Brexit, the Pandemic and supply chain challenges associated with the Ukraine conflict.

“Chris also brings experience in the highly important area of animal by-products.

“It’s great to welcome Chris and the wider team at Walker Morris to the AIMS service suppliers list.”

Chris McGarvey, Regulatory & Compliance Director added:

“The UK has a brilliant food sector, and AIMS’ members play a hugely important role within it. I’m delighted to be able to provide specialist legal support to AIMS’ members and to help them ensure that their food is safe, secure and sustainable. I am confident that the extensive food and commercial law expertise offered by Walker Morris will help AIMS’ members continue to thrive in today’s increasingly complex regulatory environment.”
