The Managing Partners’ Forum has announced that Walker Morris has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Sustaining Culture’ award at the International Management Excellence Awards 2023.
Last year, Walker Morris developed and launched a new and inspiring brand vision and values as well as introducing a compelling career proposition called Sustainable Careers, to increase employee engagement. With more than 400 employees across the business, Sustainable Careers focuses on supporting a diverse workforce by giving our people the time and opportunities to really develop. Lawyers at Walker Morris are exposed to top-flight, City-calibre work from day one and are encouraged to be entrepreneurial and share their own practice. Sustainable Careers both acknowledges and seeks to combat the pressures of a sector often associated with burnout.
Now in their 21st year, the awards uniquely recognise the contribution of leadership and management to the business of professional services firms based worldwide. With over 200 firms entered, the awards involve rigorous independent evaluation of initiatives that demonstrate superior business practices, support to clients, or community engagement.
Tracy Foley, Head of HR, said:
“We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for the ‘Best Sustainable Culture’ award at the International Management Excellence Awards 2023. Our new Sustainable Careers proposition is about offering high quality, challenging work and forging your own path, whilst also providing the wellbeing support and human approach, allowing people to thrive in this challenging environment.”
The winners will be announced at the online awards ceremony on Thursday 15 June in the London Skylounge
