Over the past year, our People & Culture team has made significant strides in transforming our people strategy. Our Employee Value Proposition, ‘Sustainable Careers,’ has been instrumental in attracting and retaining top talent by offering city-quality legal work and professional growth opportunities without the typical unsustainable pressure and burnout associated with a career in law.

Key achievements of our People & Culture team include:

• Improved employee retention: Our retention rate increased by 8% from 2021/22 to 2023/24.
• Enhanced productivity: Fee earner productivity saw a 3% increase between 2022/23 and 2023/24.
• Boosted employee engagement: Our employee engagement score surged 15% in 2024.

Our initiatives, such as the Solicitor Sabbatical Scheme and extended paid family leave, have helped us stand out as a great place to work. Additionally, our engagement survey approach, which allows employees to have a voice in our priorities, has been pivotal in creating a more inclusive and responsive workplace culture.
