Walker Morris / Our Clients / Food & Drink Companies
We’ve built, and continue to develop, a network that means we really understand the challenges, pressures and opportunities that the industry – and our clients – face.
We’ve acted for some of the very largest national and international businesses across a wide range of product categories, channels and temperature regimes, ranging from traditional manufacturers, right through to newer businesses producing plant-based meat alternatives.
We bring the power of this knowledge to bear wherever our clients need it and regularly work on M&A; financing; disputes; branding, licensing and IP; logistics and supply chain arrangements (including GSCOP); health & safety; environmental; energy; waste; GDPR; product recall and product safety; promotions; real estate and construction; tax; competition; and HR issues.
At the moment, we’re finding supply chain to be at the top of our clients’ to-do lists. We can (and do) support them solving problems around supply chain blockages, input costs and shortages, the impact of Brexit, COVID, the Suez blockage and the situation in Ukraine. We’re also working with them on supply chain strategy, international trade and sanctions, digital supply chains, new technologies and questions about data and workforce ‘tensions’.
We also advising regularly on environmental issues, such as the launch of the Plastics Tax, and we’ve been working closely with our immigration team for clients dealing with labour shortages.
We’re proud of our ongoing involvement in the sector, and know that our clients value our commitment to championing their cause as well as our wider connections. We host regular events, including our annual industry dinner, and often make introductions within the sector which are outside the scope of our client work.
