Amy is the Finance Director at Walker Morris. Her team is responsible for all elements of financial management for the firm. Whether that be billing fees and collecting the cash, statutory account filings or supporting on pricing and tender proposals, they have it covered. She loves the fact that they can quantify the positive impact Finance have through the work they do, and the breadth of work and projects they get involved in.

Amy thrives on a high performance culture and providing opportunities for her team to develop and broaden their skillset. She is a strong decision maker and supports many firm-wide initiatives, not just limited to Finance. Efficient delivery is a priority for Amy’s working style. Her logical brain loves to find the most efficient way of approaching a task and delivering it to the highest standard. Balancing priorities and stakeholder management can be challenging, but she manages this through effective organisation and delegation to a strong team. She lives by the phrase ‘never lose sight of the bigger picture’. With such a busy role where Amy manages many different priorities, it’s important to know that everything she’s managing is contributing to our firmwide ambition.

Amy joined Walker Morris in 2017 following training as a Chartered Accountant at PwC and working in several finance roles in fast-paced retail businesses. Working in a professional services firm appealed to her as she understood the business model well and knew she could develop the role and team to truly add value from a commercial perspective. Amy sits on the Board which means she’s involved in many initiatives. She feels passionate about our ESG agenda and ensuring Walker Morris is an inclusive and diverse workplace.
