Chris is a partner in our Real Estate practice and has over 20 years of expertise in  public/private development, regeneration and affordable housing.

Chris finds it enormously rewarding to help public and third sector clients efficiently deliver their objectives in collaboration with their partners and to support them in making a difference to their communities, whilst ensuring effective risk management and governance.

Chris enjoys helping developers win tenders and develop relationships with their public sector clients. His approach to this work is first and foremost collaborative and Chris is always thorough and responsive.

A commercial approach

Chris’ experience of acting for Government bodies, developers, funders and registered providers enables him to anticipate and understand the respective needs and drivers of each party in large, complex development projects. This helps save time and costs during delivery, by proposing market facing commercial positions and drafting on client’s behalf.

Chris says, “Delivering regeneration in the context of the current budgeting and economic climate is challenging and requires a partnership and commercial approach from both stakeholders and advisors. It’s rewarding to come up with solutions that are acceptable to all parties and which overcome the many barriers to delivery which exist”.
