David is a Director in our Real Estate Litigation Team. His practice covers all aspects of contentious property and landlord and tenant law, with a particular emphasis on real property and development work. David acts for both landlords and tenants in the retail leisure and hospitality sector, as well as large national housebuilders and developers.

Known for his technical ability, David provides pragmatic and commercial advice to his clients. He recognises that “the thought of litigation can be daunting for the majority of clients and one of the most enjoyable elements of my role is to work with clients through that process as part of their professional team, to ensure any dispute is resolved quickly and efficiently”.

For David, there’s nothing quite like finding a way around a problem with a potential development site so that the client can move forward with their development plans. Ultimately, he is there to help his clients achieve their objectives as smoothly as possible.

David understands the bigger picture, without losing sight of the necessary detail. This means he can give practical advice as well as pragmatic options for clients. No matter how big or small a dispute may be, he makes sure he keeps clients informed at all times, making himself readily available if they need him.

The collaborative nature of life at Walker Morris means that David can easily work with other teams around the firm to gather appropriate expertise and meet the client’s needs quickly and cost effectively.

David knew he wanted a career in law after taking part in work experience in a solicitor’s firm, and he enjoys the variety and challenges that come with this type of work.
