Director
Planning & Environment
Robert is a Director in our Planning & Environment Group with experience of a wide range of planning instructions – from complex planning projects and site promotion through emerging local plans, to planning appeals and call-in inquiries.
Robert provides strategic advice as part of multi-disciplinary teams, pursuing large scale planning applications, planning appeals and inquiries.
A complex problem solver in relation to planning and development issues, Robert pays close attention to detail and is recognised for his strong knowledge covering a broad range of disciplines.
Describing his approach to client work as diligent, precise and professional, Robert finds working as part of a skilled team of professional consultants the most rewarding part of his role.
Building relationships that will ultimately improve his clients’ prospects of a successful outcome is also core to Robert’s way of working.
Managing large scale projects is not always easy, but Robert takes a methodical and detailed approach, and sees himself as very much part of a wider team; whilst ensuring that the various disciplines are effectively coordinated.
Robert joined Walker Morris as a trainee in 2000, and enjoys being part of a Planning team with such an excellent regional and national reputation. “No day is the same. The range of work and instructions we receive is far ranging, often complex and rewarding”.
