Shane is a Partner in our Infrastructure & Energy team. He has over 20 years’ experience supporting the promotion and development of infrastructure and energy projects, as well as advising those impacted by such projects.

Experienced in large-scale energy & infrastructure projects

Shane works with I&E project developers, funders, buyers and sellers on a wide range of matters, such as land rights/consents aspects for renewable energy (including solar and wind (with collocated BESS), BESS, waste, telecoms and infrastructure projects, the development and financing of such projects.

He has a wealth of experience in dealing with large-scale energy and infrastructure projects (including NSIP’s) such as electricity and gas transmission/distribution networks, water, CCUS, Hydrogen and Heat as well as advising clients with their critical BAU real estate matters. He has managed various energy/infrastructure client relationships and project delivery teams.

Getting to know clients

Shane prioritises getting to know his clients, personally and always aims to have a deep understanding of his clients’ businesses and their goals. The client’s needs come first.

Dealing with complex projects and transactions

Dealing with complex and strategically important projects doesn’t faze Shane. He understands that projects can create various issues, and Shane has vast amounts of experience in dealing with these issues, looking at projects holistically, including from an engineering, bankability and legal perspective. He wants to make a difference to clients and always provides pragmatic solutions, without losing site of their objectives.
