Having originally trained in South Africa, he has practiced law across multiple jurisdictions, allowing Thato a diversity of thought and experience in tackling a variety of challenges. Thato focuses on general corporate law, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital. Commonly advising clients of the buy-side of complex M&A transactions, such as cross-border private equity funds and corporate entities.

Thato holds a Bachelor of Laws from the North-West University, a Master of Laws (corporate law) from the University of Pretoria and a postgraduate diploma in taxation from the University of the Witwatersrand, all from South Africa. Thato is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and has featured in leading publications in South Africa.
