Privacy Law & Cybercrime

We offer our clients a full range of data protection legal advice including advice on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), freedom of information, cybersecurity/cybercrime and privacy advice on contentious and non-contentious matters.

Our legal advice includes providing clients with the development of industry-specific, tailored data protection policies and procedures, data sharing agreements, including the collection and transfer of data between entities and jurisdictions and we always try and minimise the risk of breaches and enforcement action by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We represent clients under ICO investigation and advise on complex data security breaches as well as responding to sensitive data subject access requests.

We’re at the forefront of recent developments in the data protection landscape, particularly post-Brexit, advising clients on new cross-border data sharing arrangements in light of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and addendum. We speak at industry seminars and conferences in the UK and the US and as recognised experts in these areas we’re often commissioned to write articles for external publications.
