Our Planning & Environment team is known for its excellent client service.
We’re defined by our superb technical ability and our practical experience of planning law is invaluable to our clients.
Between them, the Team has dealt with around 30 planning appeals, hearings or examinations in the last two years, with real variety in the work – covering sectors such as waste/renewables, motorway services, residential, retail and warehouse schemes.
We like to think we work right at the coal face, and as a result of this our team is in a unique position to understand and address the ever-evolving challenges of the planning system.
In both planning and environment law, we’re able to manage cases from cradle to grave and this end-to-end approach to work means our clients see us as a ‘one stop shop’ for strategic advice and advocacy services.
We’re also well known for our formidable advocacy skills. We carry out our own advocacy at Public Inquiries, hearings and examinations – a skill which strengthens the depth of our expertise and makes us stand out from other teams of planning lawyers.
Our Team has real strength of numbers which is important when helping to co-ordinate planning applications and deal with contentious matters at the planning appeal, hearing or examination stage. Our work covers a wide range of development projects and we’re ready to help you with the negotiation of planning applications whenever you need us.
We’re proud of our involvement in CPO and Lands Tribunal matters (including advocacy at both) and Judicial Review, including significant Court of Appeal successes – skills which set us up well for all aspects of our work.
